Another of those ‘Wow, you’re suddenly all grown up’ songs. This was written by Brian Wilson and released in 1965. It is said that radio stations did not like the two pauses so did not give it much air time. It reached the comparatively lowly No 20 in America and did not get into the British charts at all.
An alternate version was released on the Hawthorne CA album of 2001, but I don’t know why they bothered.
