This was written by Danny Whitten, a member of Neil Young’s backing band Crazy Horse, and released on Crazy Horse’s 1971 eponymous album.
Rod Stewart recorded it in 1975 for his album Atlantic Crossing. In 1977 it topped the UK charts as a double A-side single with The First Cut is the Deepest, and reached No 46 in Americka in 1980.
