This 1974 version of the song by Seals and Crofts was a Top 20 hit for the Isleys in the UK but did zilch across the pond. It is notable for the Fender Stratocaster work of youngest brother Ernie, who learned all he could from Jimi Hendrix in the early Sixties. Jimi spent two years with the Isleys and lived at their house. Ernie, now 69, says: ‘My Mom used to yell at him and make him breakfast. He was part of our household as much as he was part of the band.’
