The Everlys’ B-sides were often as good as, if not better than, their A-sides. This one was written by Don Everly and released in March 1957 as the B-side of their second single and first hit, Bye Bye Love, which reached No 2 in the US.
This is another take, I presume from the same session on March 1, 1957.
Here they sing it in in 1983. It is not listed on their Royal Albert Hall reunion concert CD recorded on September 23, but I seem to remember they performed more than one night, and I think this must have been a subsequent one. Whatever, it shows they thought a lot of this very early song.
Neil Young did this slightly incoherent version on his 2014 album A Letter Home. It has a certain charm . . . I think.
