Matt’s final country break-up choice, for now, although I’m hoping he’ll delight us with more from his stellar collection. This is from 1982, and what a weepie.
For his selection of country classics, our friend Matt says virtually any Buck Owens song would fit the bill but suggests this cracker from 1966.
On a similar theme to yesterday’s choice. Matt says this 1968 selection might be his favourite country song. Which is saying something.
Matt points out that John Prine does a version of this tearjerker with Iris DeMent but says this 1963 job is the real deal.
