Family: Burlesque

Square

Unforgettable interplay between lead and bass guitars on this classic track from the 1972 Bandstand album. A girl I went out with in my teens claimed that the bassline of Burlesque brought her to ecstasy. Which, sadly, is more than I ever did.

  1. A band a bit overlooked these days, who did some nice tracks.
They also called an earlier album ‘A Dolls’ House’, which stopped the Beatles using it for their forthcoming double LP, hence it being called just ‘The Beatles’ aka as ‘The White Album’. A shame, as ‘A Dolls’ House’ would have been perfect for it.
