Ned Miller: From a Jack to a King

Square

This was written by Miller and released in 1957, when it did nothing. It was re-released in December 1962 and reached No 6 in America and No 2 in Britain (in 1963).

Elvis Presley recorded it in 1969 for his album Back in Memphis, but I don’t think it is his best work.

  1. Just great. The kind of music my parents listened to and which I grew up with – but didn’t like at the time. Now I love it because it reminds me of those times.

    Elvis’s version is a laugh!
