Written by Robert Blackwell and John Marascalco, this was released in June 1956 by the incomparable Little Richard. It reached No 17 in America and No 30 in the UK.

The version by Bill Haley and his Comets from the film Don’t Knock the Rock the same year reached No 25 in America and No 4 in Britain. This clip is worth seeing for the dancing alone.

Here is Little Richard in (I think) a live performance, I am guessing 1964 from his reference to the Beatles.
