Cliff Richard: Visions

Square

I had completely forgotten this until Alan reminded me (surprising, because it’s not his kind of thing at all). It’s a beautiful song and showcases Cliff’s great voice. Whatever anyone says about Cliff (and I love him) he can sing. It was written by Paul Ferris, who was mainly a composer of scores for low-budget horror films in the 60s and 70s. It was recorded on November 17, 1965, and released on July 15, 1966. It reached No 7 in Britain. I doubt if it was released in the States.

Here is a live performance from December 1966.

And one from 2009.
