I had more or less lost interest in the Fairports by the 1988 album Red and Gold but this is a fairly jolly live performance. Sorry about the wobbly picture.
That was good, but that was also the time I stopped going to see Fairport; they seemed to slow down and go very middle-of-the-road with the release of “Red and Gold”.
Martin Allcock, seen in the clip on the accordion, was a brilliant multi-instrumentalist and comic. From Middleton too.
