This was written by Brian Wilson with additional lyrics by Mike Love. It was first released on the group’s 1965 album The Beach Boys Today! (with the name spelled Ronda).
It was re-recorded with slightly different lyrics for release as a single in March or April 1965. It was the first single on which Al Jardine sang the lead. It went to No 1 in America and No 27 in Britain. This version appeared on the group’s next album, also in 1965, Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!)
